Breathe in!

It’s a bit of a squeeze through those tall stone pillars. Your car is probably a little
wider than the average horse and cart they
were built for in the 18th century! But once
through, you’ll soon sense the charm of
Ty Gwyn - unless the aroma of lavender &
roses hit you first....

A little way up the driveway you’ll find ample parking next to the stream - very useful for washing the mud off your walking boots – or your bike!

Ty Gwyn’s charms are even more evident as you step inside our beautiful Georgian
home. As a Grade II listed building, it’s full of quaint features and nooks and crannies.
If you are over 6 feet tall, then be prepared to duck now and again.

It’s often said that location is everything…..
Well, we think you’ll find that the delightful market town of Crickhowell certainly ticks a
number of those boxes!

Whether it’s the historic 17th century bridge spanning the River Usk....
Table Mountain just begging to be climbed
- direct from Ty Gwyn’s courtyard. Or,
simply, the many inns and restaurants providing the perfect end to a hard day’s walk, cycle, canoe or cave dive!

As a rough guide; if you turn right from
Ty Gwyn, you could be sipping a glass of beer or wine within a 5 minutes stroll....
It’ll take a little longer if you turn left - maybe 6 or 7 minutes and you’ll be right
in the centre of Crug Hywel (to give the town its Welsh name).

Whatever your reason for visiting this picturesque part of the National Park; we look forward to welcoming you and helping you make the most of your stay here.

A warm & friendly welcome
awaits you at Ty Gwyn!

Ty Gwyn -
Welsh for White House
- is an impressive Georgian
home offering superb B&B
in the Brecon Beacons.
